The Energy Beast was created when the planet Eternia was formed, and was imprisoned in a molten setting until the prehistoric volcanic eruptions that created Mount Eternia allowed the creature to escape to the surface. The Energy Beast was once ruler of all Eternia before the Ancients used the Eternian Crystal to trap the beast inside a temple on Mount Eternia.
